Peoria Stadium Traditions

I am grateful for the 125 plus years of the Peoria Stadium and the fond memories made and cherished as I attended the Annual Turkey Day Football games. Former Manual football players, my dad and his brother, gathered up me and my younger brothers and our group of five would join the oversized crowd to cheer on our favorite team. Often the late fall, early winter weather was chilly, cold and wet! We were prepared because our Uncle Harold brought along a collection of old news papers, PJS, to put on top of the cold stadium floor protecting our feet. I was grateful for each layer of the thin paper knowing my feet were warmer and dry.  Thank You dad and Uncle Harold for memories….and Thank You to all who worked to preserve the Peoria Stadium!…..I am grateful.
