‘the sun comes up on a new day’

This was something that my father always told me when I had a rough day or was going through a struggle. When I was young, I never really understood how that could change anything for me. It was just words, not an resolution.. How could that help me? Thankfully that phrase has stuck with me for my entire life. Just because today turned out in a way that you were planning or didn’t want doesn’t mean that it has to affect tomorrow. We are given a new start, a new prospective, a fresh ability to change our mindset when that sun crests that horizon. Seize the day and make it what YOU want. Thanks Dad
